I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy
Interview
The 1st Interview consisted of a packet that ask questions regarding circumstances. For example: "Tell me a time when you went the mile for a customer or person"? Or "Tell me a situation where the customer had a problem, what was the outcome and what did you do"? I would say to make sure to write down or think of times before the interview when these situations might happen. Also think of reasons why working at Best Buy interests you. They will ask, "Tell me about yourself"? Make sure you express that you work GREAT with teams and give examples. Also when telling about yourself make sure you point out achievements in your life and a little personal. Do not seem like a boring person, but don't outdue yourself either.
The 2nd interview will be with the General Manager or the store. This may seem scary but the two that I have worked with are very friendly. But it does not mean they aren't paying attention to you. This should be all about personality. They will ask you kind of the same questions as the 1st interview but with him/her.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A lot of situational questions. Every seemed to be normal. Nothing out of the ordinary interview.
Recorded interview: asked basic about me overview question, why best buy, and a few scenario question touching on customer privacy and respect. Overall very smooth, did not get a call back due to locations
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They always tend to start with the "tell me about yourself" where you essentially pitch yourself in 90 seconds or less.
Star method questions. Depending on the location they each have a very different interview process. The first two were more lengthy and expected you to do a demonstration or convincing them to buy something whereas my third interview at a different location was very laid back.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why Bestbuy and can you tell me about your last experience.
It was not too long and was a good process. They asked me about eight questions so that was not bad at all. Just make sure you act professionally and be positive throughout the process is what’s most important of all.
