Hiring Mgr first call followed by 3 other calls with ppl in different depts. Not connected to the role at all. The 3 other calls were "value-based" questioning. No call from the company recruiter until the end after multiple emails that I sent to let me know that I didn't get the job. Even the hiring mgr didn't explain details of the role. It was more open discussion. VERY STRANGE. The company itself sells a career coaching service based on data analytics and psychology. Apparently, they use this practice in their interviewing, which should be a good thing, but it felt more like being analyzed to see if the interviewers "liked" me. Apparently, I didn't hit the mark in this psychological analysis. Interestingly though, the recruiters' justification after the company taking up so much time with me (4 calls and close to a mo of my time), was that they decided to go with another candidate that was more "aligned with the "role", regardless that the role wasn't discussed on the calls. It felt more like going on a coffee date, being silently scrutinized, and then being ghosted, followed by a "brush off dishonest justification". Interviewees beware!
