I went through several rounds of interviews at BetterUp. When I spoke with the C-suite, she asked me a few very odd questions:
1. Where was I from? "No really, what neighborhood."
2. "What did you want to be when you grew up when you were a kid? "
I failed to see how these were relevant to the role or an objective assessment of me as a worker. Felt like some very odd psychoanalysis and lack of awareness, which surprised me given the company's mission. Not aligned with how top-tier product companies interview.
