There was nothing in the process that actually DID go well. Despite my being well-qualified for the role, the recruiter screen was about half the scheduled half hour and I never had the opportunity to discuss what all I could bring to the role above and beyond what they listed; what he asked barely got past the basics. He clearly made a snap judgement on I don't know what.
This is AFTER my I applied via employee referral and had my first interview cancelled at the last minute because they decided the remote role had to be hybrid. Six weeks later when the role was listed as remote again, I applied and emailed recruiter asking if they could revisit my application. Got a scheduling link, scheduled, they rescheduled due to an extended holiday for a time that was not good for me, but I didn't want to reschedule it again, and . . . the moral of the story is that I'm an idiot for putting so much time and energy into their application?
