      Business Development Representative (BDR) Interview

      Oct 4, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Beyond (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2024

      Interview

I had a great experience during my interview process at Beyond, even though I didn’t receive an offer. The first step was a zoom call with an internal recruiter who was very nice to talk to and informative of the position. She was super transparent, professional and communicative throughout the process. I also spoke with the hiring manager in the second step, who I felt had a lot of good things to say about the company. He was also very professional and pleasant to talk to. Overall, I will definitely apply for another opening in the future.

      Interview

Hands down… THE MOST FUN I have ever had during an interview! From start to finish it was overall an excellent experience. From the recruiter being so communicative and even going as far as letting me know she will be out of office and looping in her manager is so appreciated! Alexis, Elise and Jeremy were so communicative it really meant a lot to me knowing I could count on the communication factor! Being transparent and responsive from the very beginning gives interviewees a sense of trust and calmness, that’s certainly what I felt! My meeting with the BDR manager was so fun, we clicked instantly it was more conversationally and so very pleasant! I felt so comfortable and relaxed ( which never happens and is so unbelievably refreshing!) Next, I spoke with the VP of sales ,Josie ,who really forced me to dig deep within myself with the questions she asked. This really shed light as to who she is as a leader! I really enjoyed her questions because it forced me to hold accountability for myself and my future progression which I haven’t experienced before during and interview. I will also add considering Josie is fairly new to the company she’s already accomplished so much which shows me she’s committed and truly cares! I appreciated that they not only wanted to get to know me professionally but also personally! One thing I can appreciate is the fact that if you are interested in another role they will let you dabble in it before you make the jump to make sure it aligns with your growth path. Providing you with the opportunity to Collaborate cross functionally and. Shadow other departments , knowing you want to progress, is HUGE to me! I’ve never encountered a company that thinks so far into the future like beyond does it’s totally a green flag for me! Overall they encouraged you to dig deep within yourself to truly express yourself and shine! By having those interactions with the team I can tell their culture is phenomenal and they practice what they preach!
