***ENGINEERS STOP - DO NOT BELIEVE THE 5 STAR REVIEWS - THIS COMPANY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME***
I lost 4 hours of my life to this company working on a technical challenge that was designed to fail. Don't let this happen to you.
Big Nerd Ranch outsources their technical challenge to a third party company. My technical challenge was building a simple frontend app using react/javascript, incredibly easy in theory.
However the requirements for the app were incredibly vague. Additionally, I was disqualified for not adding multiple features that weren't even mentioned in the requirements document.
Honestly, the interview difficulty would've been very easy if the process wasn't rigged. Because of that I rated this as very difficult.

Interview
Interviewed with CEO back when he took care of hiring. Very casual and comfortable. I think the process has moved on to involve phone screens, then eventual 1:1 interviews with who would be your manager. I do not think the CEO is involved anymore.
