Applied on LinkedIn. Received an impersonal scheduling email for first round interview. Almost thought it was a scam. Met with the recruiter who confirmed I was qualified and no qualms about my candidacy other than my salary needs. Advertised salary was 87-137k but he came back and said highest they’d go for this role is 115k. False advertising but I agreed to move forward. He said he’d get back about next steps and never did until I followed up twice. I politely requested feedback on why I wasn’t selected to move forward despite the confirmation that I was qualified and salary was agreed upon, and he just replied with “thanks.” I found his treatment after I was not selected to be disrespectful of my time, considering we had a 30 minute video interview, I should have received notice that they’d not be moving forward at the very least.
