I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Biogen (Research Triangle Park, NC) in Mar 2015
Interview
After application online, HR screening on the phone. Followed by hiring manager phone screen before being invited for a job interview on site. They put me up in a hotel the night before the interview. The interview itself was a mix of one-on-one and one-on-two interviews with a lunch session with less-senior (putative) peers. Due to particular group, many of my interviews were conducted over video conference with people in Cambridge, MA.
Expect timelines to slip. They're hiring a lot of people and the HR staff can be "optimistic" about timelines.
Went well. Only 1/2 a day for associate level. I had six meetings with lab scientists and three meetings with leadership team. It went very well and I would not change anything.
Emailed for phone interview, followed by teams 30 minute video call which constituted of brief presentation and conversation with the hiring manager(s).
Saw the job get reposted after the manager said as to what the next steps would be and that "I" should follow up. Not wasting time here, either way update me of the status.
Not sure what the hype is but after seeing the controversy lately, scared to part of financial battles. Geez 🙄
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical questions over the presentation, company culture questions, chemistry based questions
Phone screen, half a day interview with hiring manager, co-workers, other stakeholders. People are pretty open about the culture and job style. The selection process for interview takes a long time and potential employee needs to be patient. After the interview selection process is not that long.
