I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Birdeye (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Apr 2018
Interview
It was my worst interview experience ever. Actually it was very similar to one other experience posted on Glassdoor. I was contacted through a staffing agency. Since they only schedule interviews on weekdays, i had to take a half day leave from my office in Noida and drive down to Gurgaon 2 hours on each side. The interviewer who was sent to interview me was a really weird guy. He was extremely low on energy and didn't look like he was even interested in having a conversation with anyone ( looked to me like he was stoned or something or maybe extremely frustrated with life and didn't even want to be there). He asked me only the very basic java questions and a couple of sql queries. Basically he was not interested in my problem solving skills and focused only on bookish knowledge - the kind that one needs to mug. The interview lasted just about 20 minutes and even though i had answered all(upwards of 95%) of his questions correctly, they didn't proceed further. I was absolutely baffled at their stupidity and my wasted time and effort. Please consider twice before going to interview there.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Birdeye (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Apr 2025
Interview
Starting was good. First two rounds had Javascript, Basic DSA, React questions.
Third round was managerial round taken by Lead engineer. It started normally then turned into HLD LLD and React interview. Asking to implement a system. Any use of searching and looking up things was not allowed which doesn't align with real world scenario. Too much focus on code implementation rather than problem solving, approach, and concept clarity.

Interview
Bad experience.
They will send some noob / junior to interview you who’ll be expecting textbook answers. If you try to convey something which is not they are expecting, as usual they will not like it.
Questions were googled ones and no real experience is expected.
Go through coding questions on internet and you’ll be lucky if you answer them as they want.
They joined 10mins late and didn’t even have the courtesy to apologise - I wish I’d dropped then only 😶
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Birdeye (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Jul 2023
