I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at BlackRock in Mar 2022
Interview
Patience is key because this is the slowest HR I have ever dealt with. Applied in January, interviewed in March, and received a response in May but still yet to receive feedback. The initial HR person ghosted me and never bothered to give me a new contact. I only managed to speak to someone after finding a contact through an employee. I was put through 3 open positions during this period. HR will email asking to contact you "next week" only to respond months later. Very difficult to work with when you have your own work commitments. The 3x30min interview itself was relaxed but every correspondence with HR was painful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly about your CV and predictable questions like "why blackrock, why this position". Alongside simple numerical questions to test your skills.
Several rounds of 1-2 interviewers ranging from associates to head of the region. Mostly about your experience/fit questions. Few rounds with brain teasers. All of the interview was conducted over the internet (Cisco).
