I came in through the spring week and we were told that our summer conversion interviews would be in August-September of that year. Radio silence until November. Finally interviewed in early December. Consisted of 3 back to back 30 min interviews. All three were with systematic teams (I didn't get a choice in this, I suppose they saw I do engineering and that was good enough for them. One of the three was not even in the asset class I had applied for). Interviews were entirely technical. No commercial awareness or cultural fit questions. Everyone else's conversion interviews were closer to the standard mix of motivation, competency, technical and commercial awareness (as they interviewed with discretionary teams instead). Interview was early December and never heard back until I emailed for an update in late January (rejection then came within hours).
