I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock (London, England) in Dec 2022
Interview
Submitted the online application first week of November 2022 (if I remember correctly) and then got the automated request to complete a HireVue cover letter and I completed this like 5 days after receiving the email to do it. Then I heard back from them to schedule the first-round interview first week of December and then three days after they said I made it to the final round and I had the final round a week after my first round interview. Final round was challenging, I had to prepare a 15 minute presentation about a topic, they gave me like three days to do it but since I'm in uni and had lots of deadlines falling on the same day that made it extra challenging. Three days after my final round, I received an offer. The process was very smooth and fast and the HR team were all extremely likeable and they really sold the culture and company for me. Tips: Learn about BlackRock's Principles, in the first round interview most questions will be about these principles so have a good understanding of what they are.

HireVue then 3 part superday. All interviews were a mix of technical and behavioral but mostly behavioral and market-based. Interviews were over a 4 hour period and with employees from different offices

Tell me about your internship experience and why it sets you up for this role
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Jun 2026
Interview
The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
