      Operations Analyst Interview

      Aug 20, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in May 2014

      Interview

They conducted two phone interviews followed by a final round onsite interview. The one thing that bothered me is that I waited 3 weeks to hear back and finally once I reached out, they gave me a generic email of rejection. It would have been nice to get the yes or no sooner when they gave a two week timetable.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Honestly they didn't ask anything crazy. They just asked about my background and what makes me a good fit for the company.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Oct 2021

      Interview

I applied online and received an automated email requesting a video interview with HR. That process was pretty easy, but when it came to my interview time I was waiting in the video conference for a few minutes, only to see that the interviewer had emailed me a minute before the interview to reschedule. I understand things happen, so I wasn’t ~too fussed. The second attempt ended up being a phone call and it was quite short, very to the point and efficient. I received a video interview request with the hiring manager a few days later, and met with them a few days after that. I thought it went well, not as stuffy as I expected, and I thought I would hear back for at least another interview. Even though the people I had spoken to throughout the process had seemed friendly, I never heard a peep from anyone, until I got an automated ‘this role has been cancelled or filled’ email 2 months later. I probably should have followed up for any insight/feedback after that second interview, but I had been in final rounds at a different company at that point.
