I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jan 2015
Interview
One phone interview
2 video interviews, since I wasn't located in London
and one final interview at the London HQ
Phone interview was very basic questions, why Bloomberg, some market news I had heard about, and some behavioral questions a la: ''Would you rather give your client inaccurate information than giving him the right information, but too late?''
First video interview: With two team members. Questions were ''Where does Bloomberg get their information from? What would our algorithms look for? Tell me about a time you made a process more efficient?''
Third Video interview: Strong emphasize on why I want to work for Bloomberg. My answer wasn't sufficient I think, as afterwards they only asked me some small talk questions about how I like London and my study abroad experiences.
After the first two interviews they mailed me immediately that I had advanced, after the third it took them about 2 weeks to call and tell me that I had been rejected.
Video call with 2-3 rounds interview with different people. Case was given in a group setting that you have to work with other candidates. After that you will get into breakout rooms for 1-2-1 interviews where they will ask about your motivation to join the company and why this role.
Did one interview I thought it went well but I was rejected at the first stage. Asked for feedback they said they choosed somebody already in the department.
Waste of time.
