I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Jul 2015
Interview
Applied online. Was called in for a phone interview, very basic questions. Got called over to New York City. Interview with hiring manager went great. Simple questions, asked questions more relevant to background, etc. Salary is fixed-- no negotiation. Why bloomberg, why this role, walk me through your resume, etc…. end

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Sep 2015
Interview
This was a contract position through FSS-Staffing. Very straightforward and fast process. I was contacted by the recruiting company who had found my resume that was posted online. We did a brief phone screening. I was then brought in for an interview at FSS-Staffing in NYC and they offered me the position about a week later. I didn't actually speak with someone at Bloomberg during the interview process. This is likely to only be the case for low-level, data-entry intensive positions.
