Question 1
Why Bloomberg? Why Analytics and Sales? (Why not IB) Why do you think you could be successful? How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Basically a lot of personal fit questions, a few about financial news and technical questions (why would you rather finance with debt than equity? what are the difference? Why one is generally more expensive than the other?)
Really fair interviews except one tricky question: How would you explain the difference btw a bond and an equity to a 5years old kid?
I applied online. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jul 2023
Interview
Zoom interview with two employees, one from sales and one from analytics department. First I did an online recorded interview and personality test. Required a lot of background knowledge on Bloomberg as well as an explanation as to why one is passionate about certain sectors in finance eg ESG.
Overall it is quick and efficient. But the whole process is relatively long. It took me a month-ish and had 6 rounds of interviews with them including the first online application and language assessment.
