Interview
It was quite simple. You go in, fill out an application and then you wait. You get a call back about 3 weeks later, you schedule an interview. They ask you questions like "You see an employee stealing, what do you do?"...pretty basic. The questioning was somewhat long and there were some questions that were asked twice, just in a different form. They talked/asked about my previous work, experience, etc...In general, it was a good experience. I got the job at that first interview. Came back for orientation exactly a week later.

What was the most difficult decision you've ever had to make?
I applied for a management position at the Bloomingdale’s. I was contacted by Bloomingdale’s regarding my resume to request a few options of days and times that I would be available for a Phone Screen. I responded in a timely manner with my schedule availability. However, they did not follow up to schedule time to speak with me accordingly. A couple of weeks later, I received a rejection email. It’s understandable when another candidate is selected for a position. However, it is extremely disappointing that I was not treated with professional courtesy and respect by Bloomingdale’s. The negative experience as a job applicant will impact if I continue to shop in the company’s stores or keep my Bloomingdale’s / Macy’s credit card accounts open.

A trio from HR represented a panel at a hiring event I went to. They did not specify the roles they were looking to fill beforehand. Two of the three were snacking on smelly potato chips when I came in, barely shook my hand, and didn't ask for a copy of my resume.
