I applied in the Zurich office, and I didn't get the offer. Upon arriving, no one reacted the doorbell for few minutes (it was 15 min before the interview start). I got there only thanks to one of the residents that opened the flat door for me. Upon entering and introducing myself, instead of standard "good morning!" I was asked how I had managed to get there. Everyone seemed to be surprised that I have arrived. During the first part of the interview (with Isabel) I was asked to listen to the 8-minute voice recording and fill in the presentation blanks. I asked how many times I could listen to it and got slightly rude answer: "How many times do you think the client will be repeating himself?" Right after I had finished to listen the recording, the recruiter entered the room, deleted the recording, and left. It was strange, as a friend of mine had been interviewed a month before and was allowed to listen to the recording as many times as she wanted. That kind of discrepancy is unprofessional in my opinion. After 40 min I presented the slides and the email to the client that I was supposed to write in front of 5 consultants from Blue Matter. Next, I have a round of personal questions with the two other consultants. Upon saying that I am interested to work for Blue Matter because I like their focus area (rare diseases and oncology) they informed me that they don't work on rare diseases, but on vaccines. There was not a single word mentioned on their website (March 2023) about the vaccines (but a lot about rare diseases), which made my preceding search partially useless. They clearly had their website not updated. Another lack of professionalism according to me. Finally, I had to do a drug market-sizing business case with yet another two consultants (each around 2 years in the company). Upon requesting few times, the information about number of patients and competitors, I was told that they do not have such data. At the end, when I had no more ideas what data to ask for, I obtained the table with the data I was asking during the whole case. I don't know until today if I was solving the case wrongly, or if they did know how to lead it. I was rejected after these three parts. I had heard that the remaining three are composed of a roleplay (one as a consultant and one as a team leader), passion talk and one more non-standard business case. I was offered feedback (where I was informed that I performed terribly in the cases, and I showed too little motivation to be a consultant). I was walked to the door and this time at least treated with: "have a nice day!" :p My overall impression was that the people were rather reserved, and that the recruitment process was disorganized. They didn't have professional recruiters; the whole process was conducted mainly by consultants that worked there for two years. They expected a lot from me, but I feel that they didn't deliver quality from their side. I would like to mention, that my opinion is not affected by the fact that I was rejected. I just wanted to describe my experience honestly. After some consideration, I am happy not to be employed there.
