      Training Coordinator Interview

      Apr 27, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Booj (Denver, CO) in Apr 2016

      Interview

In my participation in the process, there was never any contact with a live person. I applied, and a week or so later was asked to do both a five minute video that would demonstrate to a new user the functionality of their mobile app and also to provide a cheat sheet for Google calendar. There was no call or interview before I received this email. Typically, I've found that there is a cursory HR interview prior to asking a candidate to do something as involved as these exercises. I probably spent about four or five hours doing the activities. After I submitted the exercises, I was turned down three days later with a short four sentence explanation that another candidate's "qualifications more closely match our requirements." This lack of human contact and expectation to put in this much time on their activities was incredibly aggravating. If I were to go through a process like this again, I would contact someone at the company first and get some of my own questions answered to see if they were a fit for me prior to spending time on the activities.
