I applied through other source. I interviewed at Booking.com (Manchester, England) in Apr 2022
Interview
The process was very smooth and interviewers are very friendly. There was a 3 rounds.
1. Introduction Round(30 minutes):
This was with Engineering Manager he was more friendly and It's all about us , our area of interest .
He explained all the upcoming rounds and what they expect on each round.
2. Behaviour Round(60 minutes):
This round with two tech persons from Booking where they asked about our past experience and situation based questions. They expect us to share our previous experience, how we handle in specific situation.
It went smooth and I asked more questions about booking ,technologies and work where they replied very calm. Almost this round looks like a chat with peer.
Pair Interview(90 minutes):
I was given 1 technical program to solve.
I paired with 2 booking tech persons. First they explained the process and expect us to solve in TDD approach and also need to explain each and every line of the code why we need it. They also more friendly and Its also like we are doing some code program with colleagues. I can able to solve it time.
Over all process was very smooth and composed. They apparently explained what they expect in the rounds.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Booking.com
Interview
I recently interviewed with Booking.com for a software engineer role. The process was well-organized and took about 3–4 weeks. It started with an online assessment on HackerRank with a couple of LeetCode medium problems. That was followed by a technical screen where I did live coding and discussed basic algorithms. The final round was a full day of back-to-back sessions: algorithmic coding, system design (something like designing a hotel availability checker), a behavioral round using STAR questions, and a chat with a manager about company values. The interviewers were professional and friendly, and the problems felt relevant to Booking's actual business. On the downside, some coding rounds felt repetitive, and I didn't get much feedback after being rejected. Overall, it was a fair but challenging process. My advice: practice medium-level array and hash map problems, review basic system design, and have solid STAR stories ready. I'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to other engineers.
