I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Scientific (New York, NY) in Oct 2020
Interview
Video interview with behavioral questions then technical background questions. Asked specifics about what technologies I was familiar with, what my career trajectory was, and what I wanted to get out of a job with them
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Boston Scientific in May 2021
Interview
Went through multiple interviews including a 2+ hour technical interview that all went very well, received great feedback and plenty of happy comments.
The final 1.5-hour interview was scheduled with some of the leadership team and other parts of the business. 5 minutes before the interview was set to start I received a call that the director had canceled the interview and the rest of the process due to not meeting resume requirements. This was after over 4 hours of interviewing. Was very disrespectful of both my time and theirs and shows a gross disconnect in the communication between the different management levels.
This is not the place to work for those with non-traditional backgrounds or who are over-performers.
