I applied online by uploading my CV only, and shortly after I got an e-mail asking me to come to an interview. I got to choose the date and time (morning or afternoon), so the application and arranging the interview was a breeze.
The actual assessment day was also rather enjoyable. I completed some psychometric tests, delivered a short presentation (that they asked me to prepare beforehand) to a small group, and finally attended a one-to-one culture-based interview. After that, I had lunch with the staff. Everyone was really friendly, and I really enjoyed the time I spent there.
Next day I got an e-mail implying that I passed the first interview stage. They asked me to fill in a short and easy questionnaire with some HR-related questions (such as teamwork). I filled and submitted this form, but I did not get any sort of acknowledgement for the next two weeks. Finally I got an e-mail saying that I was unsuccessful. I understand that some better candidate than me might have come along after me, but I found it really rude that they delayed me for 2 weeks after saying that I was successful on the first round, and with no feedback at all. Furthermore, this generic e-mail contains some extremely annoying remarks, such as "Don't beat yourself up", or "It's not you, it's us". I fount it really rude, cheesy, and definitely not professional.
I really loved the vibe in Brainlabs, and it's clear that they have a great culture. The interview process is mostly great, but I advise them to change the cheesy generic e-mails and spare couple of minutes to give a short feedback.
