After being sent an email to do the brainlabs qualifier which consisted of 3 online tests, I heard back 10 days later to have a culture interview on the phone. I booked it in using their booking system, on the day I waited for a call but no one called. I rang the company, left a message as no one answered and said I would try to rebook the interview using the online system, I also emailed them. I didn't receive any response to apologise for the inconvenience.
I rebooked and had the culture interview the following day, I asked if everything was ok because of the missed appointment but she wasn't sure what had happened and would speak to HR. The interview lasted about 20 minutes, was a casual, friendly chat. It has been a month since then and no communication from them at all. If not successful that is ok, but when keeping people waiting the decent thing to do is keep them informed one way or another. The company handbook states they don't like keeping people waiting, but they've gone against that. While they are in the process of revamping their hiring process they shouldn't be rude when people take time to meet their hiring process. Makes me wonder what else in their handbook isn't actually as great as it sounds.
