Initially had a good interaction with the recruiter (Ryan) who reached out to me directly via LinkedIn (I didn’t apply). Recruiter couldn’t give many details on the job but was knowledgeable about the company. Found out the job was “confidential” because the current incumbent was secretly being ousted by the organization (red flag). Recruiter then asked for my availability to have a phone conversation with the VPHR. I gave my availability as requested then never heard anything back. I sent two emails checking in to see if maybe the recruiter was busy or the email was lost. Nothing…crickets. Any company that ghosts candidates is most likely garbage. This was a blessing in disguise so I’m glad I saw their true colors early. If they treat candidates with such unprofessional behavior, I’m sure employees are treated the same way. Avoid this company like the plague if they call you.
