I was contacted by their in-house corporate recruiter, Sheenah, for an initial phone screening about two weeks after submitting for the position online. She was extremely personable, well versed on the company, hiring manager, position requirements and process (rare for recruiters) and very transparent, responsive and helpful. I had a video interview the following day with the hiring manager, who was just as natural to talk with, and obviously mutually interested in filling the position with a good fit and diverse experiences, and excited by the opportunity to inherit the institutional knowledge brought over by Lumen in the transition while building a new culture and team in the process. The following day after that I had a video interview with the VP of HR who gave me a broader understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead for the company and specific to my department, and was also no-nonsense and mutually interested in considering my thoughts and assessments. I was sent an offer letter that afternoon by Sheenah, which perfectly contained all of the terms she and I had discussed initially, including pay, benefits and mostly remote working. She and the hiring manager have been responsive and available to guide me through the background check process and reassure me that this is a great fit for all - I'm guessing it's apparent to them that I am not used to such competency, efficiency, follow through or professionalism from senior management with regard to onboarding or anything else. 😄
