HR contacted (via phone call) for an interview with the Director. On the day of the interview, the Director had some sort of emergency due to which the interview had to be rescheduled. The HR person seemed really incompetent in terms of rescheduling the interview as she was unable to read the calendar properly and coordinate a reasonable date/time with me. She emailed a few days later indicating that she will schedule a follow up within a week.
After a couple of weeks, I sent a follow up and did not receive a response. A few days later when I sent yet another follow up, I got an out of office whereby I contacted the person mentioned in the "out of office" message. To my surprise, I was informed that the position had already been filled!! The original HR did not even bother emailing me and telling me the same.
All in all, I found the HR department really unprofessional and, to a certain degree, incompetent and, in a way, I am glad I did not end up at a company where HR cannot schedule a mere interview properly!
