I applied online in the beginning of 2018. A phone screen was conducted ~2 weeks after applying with the talent acquisition department. The phone screen was what you normally expect: an overview of the position and department, benefits, etc. They claimed they reviewed my resume and application but still asked the question:
Do you have a Ph.D.? (I do not)
It wasn't a requirement in the job description. Why ask this if it's not needed and if you've read my resume? Also, why does BMS think a Ph.D. is needed for an entry level position? Shortly after, I received the email that my candidacy would not be pursued further.
