      Director Interview

      Aug 24, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Bristol Myers Squibb

      Interview

During the initial screening interview via MS Teams, recruiter mentioned she was feeling unwell (she had a throat infection) and was unable to speak at length. So, she would send over the questionnaire for me to complete online and send back. She also explained the interview process and explained that I should check with her if I didn't get an interview call over the next 2 weeks. So far so good. I completed the questionnaire and sent it back, only to receive an e-mail from Recruiter saying she hadn't received it. Re-sent the questionnaire, only to receive an OOO from Recruiter. Re-re-sent the questionnaire to the backup person mentioned in OOO. This person assured that his team would share back my responses with the hiring manager. I followed up with initial recruiter TWICE (at one week intervals) when I hadn't received an interview call within the stipulated time. That was on 10 July; today it is 24 October. I've been working in this industry for more than 10 years and find it unbelievable that a company of BMS' repute would ghost a candidate. But then I cam here and found several reviews by candidates who have had a similar ghosting experience. Why would a recruiter request a candidate to follow up only to ghost? All it takes is an e-mail (Sorry, we need more time), or an automated e-mail (We selected another candidate).

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bristol Myers Squibb (New Brunswick, NJ) in Nov 2025

      Interview

A very weird experience. I applied online and within a few days I was contacted about setting up a call for an HR screen. The HR person was 10 minutes late to the call but told me that wasnt important because I had already made it to the next round, and then talked for 20 minutes about how amazing it is to work at the company. I had no opportunity to ask any questions but was told to send any questions to them via e-mail, which I promptly did. No response, and no further contact about a 2nd interview. 2 months letter I got the auto-rejection.
