      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Dec 6, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Broadly in Nov 2017

      Interview

I could not say enough positive things about my interview experience with Broadly. I would not be going out on a limb to say that this was not only the best interview experience I've ever had, but quite possibly the best I'll ever have. From the very beginning, it was clear that everything you've read about Broadly on Glassdoor is true. Tiffany, who I had my initial call with one week after applying, instantly made me feel at ease, and I ended up talking with her for nearly an hour in what was more like a friendly, honest, and open discussion than anything. She was a self-described open book who truly made me feel like I could be myself in the interview, and set very clear expectations for the interview process moving forward and the company's refusal to drag it out longer than necessary. I had a second call the very next day with John, a senior member of the success team, and it was more of the exact same thing. It was readily evident upon learning more about the position and the company and speaking with Tiffany and John that the people who work there genuinely enjoy what they do. The same day, I offered the opportunity to meet four other members of the success team the following week for an in-person interview, the last step of the process. I was told that the process would be two hours long, giving you 30 minutes to speak individually with each interviewer, followed by a happy hour that would give you the opportunity to meet with the rest of the team in a casual setting (yes, really.) I had to make the hard to decision the day before the interview to opt out of continuing with the final step of the interview process, as I had unexpectedly been offered another role within my current company, which I ended up accepting. However, I know that in different circumstances, I would have immediately jumped at the opportunity to work alongside the Broadly family if offered.

I interviewed at Broadly (Oakland, CA)

      Interview

I had a deeply negative experience interviewing with Broadly, a company that I had been excited to work for. While the recruiter and hiring manager were great to work with, the final round of interviews left me feeling hurt, disrespected, and angry. Despite everyone else being nice, there was one person who was incredibly rude and disrespectful towards me throughout the interview. She berated me, mocked me, and even mocked my background. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Despite the fact that everyone else in the final round of interviews had liked me, this one person's negative attitude and disrespectful behavior cost me the job. Even now, thinking back on this experience stings and I feel deeply hurt by the way I was treated. Overall, my experience with Broadly was a negative one, and I would caution anyone considering applying for a job with this company. While some of the people I interacted with were great, the toxic behavior of one person was enough to ruin the entire experience for me.

      Interview

Thirty minute screen call with HR followed by a phone interview with manager and in-person interviews with the CSM team. The great thing about Broadly is that they are looking for the right fit for their amazing culture. Many of the questions related to that. The other questions related to your background and how it would translate over to the role. The interview process from start to finish was great. Everyone was very open and honest about Broadly and the role and it is clear they have a passion for the company.
