      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Broadly (Oakland, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

I first had a vetting by the company recruiter, followed by a call from the director of sales. Both calls went smoothly. I interviewed with 4 people , for 30 min each, back to back, during my on site. Everyone painted a great picture of what the company culture is like and it seemed to be consistent across the board. The questions were very straight forward. Everyone was very friendly and polite.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Broadly (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Overall interview process was swift. You get a phone screening with the Senior Recruiter who will ask you basic questions. After that, they’ll ask you to leave a voicemail cold calling selling a product or service. Complete an online personality questionnaire. If that all goes well, they’ll invite you to an in person interview with four different individuals. Most will ask basic sales questions. One individual however, asked me questions completely off topic and not relevant to the job based on a job I had quite some ago. Ultimately they want to see if you would be a good fit with the company and vice versa. Overall the experience was fine but I was a little put off on how discouraging some of the interviewers are. Ex: This job is hard, like really hard, you will hate yourself most days.

We pride ourselves on providing a first class candidate experience and we take that very seriously. In your case, we fell short. I want to apologize to you on behalf of my team. It's in our best interest to get to know you, and vice versa, during this valuable time together rather than deter you from the role you're interviewing for. In an effort to be honest and transparent, your interviewer took it too far and we'll be handling this internally to ensure it doesn't happen again to anyone else. Thank you for letting us know and best of luck in your search!
