      Interview

I had an interview with a recruiter from their organization so the questions were pretty generic. I did have specific questions that were not able to be answered. Overall the flow of the interview was good though.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Brooks Running (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2020

      Interview

The recruiter emailed to set up a time for a phone screen which lasted around 30 minutes. A few days later I had a virtual video interview with the hiring manager for 30 minutes. A few days after that I met with a potential peer via virtual video for an hour (at the end of this I was told this person would share notes but had "no say" in the hiring process which was odd considering it was the longest conversation). Implications from the recruiter and hiring manager was that there would be a fourth interview but I received no contact after the third interview and only after multiple inquiries did I receive a canned response email that they were "moving on with other candidates." This was surprising to me since the first three interviews were all very rush-rush and treated like formalities. There were hardly any true interview questions, all conversations were very casual. Two interviews were scheduled without much notice and also changed last-minute; the entire process felt disorganized and chaotic. Though everyone I met with was friendly and I appreciated the casual conversation, the process as a whole produced multiple red flags for me.

      Project Manager Interview

      Oct 26, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Brooks Running in Sep 2020

      Interview

First round was a phone call with the recruiter, then a phone interview with the direct supervisor, then a panel interview that lasted approximately 3 hours. The final interview was with the VP of Marketing also over video. Everyone was incredibly friendly and warm, it felt like a very thorough interview process. During COVID times it's difficult to get a feel for the company culture, but being able to speak with so many different people over video it really helped a lot. Questions were a good mix of past experience, behavioral, and general getting to know you. Overall it was a very lengthy and time consuming process, but enjoyable.
