There were three interviews in total. The first included some basic questions about myself, including my work ethic, work experience, etc. It also included a buy test, where basically I had to pick clothes from a pile that I though would sell quickly for the store, and explain why I thought they would sell. For me, the manager was extremely friendly and encouraged me to relax and be myself. Basic knowledge of your community's style is key!
After the first interview they schedule you for a second interview. This interview was a little more challenging, but definitely do-able! They had me go on the actual sales floor and pick three items from a certain section, (for me it was jackets), that I thought would sell quickly, and three items that I thought would not sell as fast. Once I picked my items, I showed them to the managers and explained why I thought they would or would not sell. After presenting, they went through my selection and told me why they agreed or disagreed with some of my selections. They moved on to ask me questions about my work experience, things such as naming a time where I provided/experienced great customer service, why the customer service was good, as well as citing instances where I acted with integrity in the work place. They really took the time to stress that a positive customer experience was the main goal of the company, and I could tell that this was a genuine interest of theirs. Overall, the managers were very open, friendly, and inviting.
The last interview is actually a job overview. They basically called me in, went over my work availability, and offered me the job.
