Interview
I got a request on LinkedIn and I sent my resume for the requested position.
I received a call from HR-Recruiter and she told about the company, its expansion in Hyderabad and explained the interview process. Then, I received 2 emails after some time. First one, it contained other role Job description, Pre-interview questionnaire and I replied to it that I didn't apply for this position, she responded back that was a mistake and sent the correct one this time. Second, email has Bullhorn Assessment test link also with supporting tips and practice test link.
The Assessment test. Firstly, the personality test. It took more time to finish it, it was lengthy and I found it useless. Secondly, the aptitude test and it was easy. Finally, I completed the entire test and update HR-recruiter about it.
After a few hours, I received a rejection email "Sr QA, Automation". I responded that it might be some miscommunication because I didn't apply for that role. Later, got a reply that its common test for all roles.
I was pretty confident that I'll go into next round of the interview and asked for the feedback on the test. They said I performed well but there are other persons who scored better. umm!
My suggestions, HR-Recruiter communication is ambiguous and should be improved, also, do not waste candidates' time with length personality test(surveys).
