I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Buro Happold (Bath, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
First stage involved passing initial screen tests. Then had to pass telephone interview stage. After this, was invited to an interview at their main office in Bath (UK). During this interview, after listening to a presentation around Buro Happold, I had to give a ten minute presentation. After, candidates were given a site tour and time to speak to current graduates. Finally, one of the company's group directors came to personally meet each candidate for a few minutes each.
I found the entire process a pleasure, and loved the company twice as much after seeing how sincere and passionate higher management are. Interview was very laid back and relaxed. Tour was a lovely bonus. I liked the fact we had to present, which allowed us to show some of our own skills and thought processes which is of course, a critical point to an interview. No automated or generic questions. Only thing I could recommend is to reimburse travel expenses. The entire process was very genuine and left me with an extremely positive view on the company.

I applied online. I interviewed at Buro Happold in Mar 2023
Interview
Pros: Both the recruiter on the phone interview and the interviewers were great and asked relevant questions. They did get back to me, even though I was not chosen for the 2nd round of interviews. Cons: Between the initial phone screening and the interview, I was given less than a day to prepare. I understand the need to move quickly as a multi-national firm, but applicants need to be given time to prepare.
