I applied online. I interviewed at Bustle (New York, NY) in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied online and heard back three weeks later. I was asked to take an edit test to be submitted in a week. A few days later I was scheduled for a video interview during which we scheduled a trial workday to see if I'd be able to work well through their telecommuting system, and after that I was offered the job roughly a week later.

Question 1
What are some issues you're particularly interested in?
I applied for this position twice and both times I was contacted to take it further. However, both times there was no phone call. I was just asked to submit a lengthy edit test and was told I wasn't a good fit.
I went through several rounds of interviews, didn't hear anything for long times between all of them, and didn't get the job. I also had to complete an assessment that took hours.
Phone interview & writing assignment. They were pleasant & I would do it again
but there was no payment for the writing sample, and took a lot longer than projected to get a yes or no.
