The hiring process at Bustle is embarrassing, from the automated emails after applying telling you that the process is taking slower than they thought, but to sit tight (months down the line) to one that says they're moving on with other candidates (several more months down the line) to one directly after saying, "Oh wait, disregard that last email, you're still being considered for the position" (??). I'm really not holding my breath at this point. Heard back from the Managing Editor at Bustle a while back to tell me that she'd like me to interview for a senior position at Elite Daily but when I informed her I was apparently being considered for a role at Bustle, which she confirmed, and said she would wait to move forward until the application process for that job had closed. Needless to say, I didn't hear back from either job, but I'm confused as to why the process at large and communication is so inefficient for both Elite Daily and Bustle.
