I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CBRE
Interview
Interview with hiring manager, interview with engineer, take home coding challenge, conversation with “team members”
Positive experience up until take home challenge. Take home challenge was extremely work intensive and they wanted me to host it. I spent about 3-5 hours and finished less than half and was told by a recruiter that I had a verbal offer. But then I was told I would still have another interview or two with teammates. The first interview was with someone who had no questions for me, but managed to turn every question of mine into an answer that related to how much he didn’t like his company. It was extremely uncomfortable, so I ended the interview as early as I could. I also have a minority status, and it seemed like he started that interview from a very negative viewpoint so I couldn’t help but wonder if it was because he judged be because of that - I’ve honestly never had someone be that shut off/negative in an interview before, and have no idea what else it could have been unless he was just having the worst day of his life. Never received that offer - but after that interview I wasn’t really interested anymore.
I was given a virtual phone screen by a third-party consulting firm. Following this phone screen I had a virtual conference call with members of the team I would be working with.

Path finding algorithm for robot that could rotate and move in four cardinal directions.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CBRE (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2023
Interview
My interview experience was disappointing. The interviewers lacked enthusiasm. However, the HR team was commendable. The call quality was poor, the connection he had wasn't good, questions were few and bizarre, he was writing jumble code & was asking the output, he lacked organization. The lack of confidence in the interviewer raised concerns about the company's evaluation process. Worst of all he was picking nose on video call without realizing he was on video which was distracting & irritating as hell.
