I applied online at the company's website and was contacted by a company talent acquisition representative about the role within 2 weeks after my application to schedule a 15-30 minute phone interview. The phone interview was mostly a background interview but the questions that were asked were only related to my motivations for leaving my current job and my reasons for being interested in the role at CDW. There was also a mini-case interview that was framed as a problem statement, which caught me offguard. In retrospect, the question wasn't terribly difficult but unfortunately, I could not get the right answer because I was not prepared for a case interview. I did not get a follow-up interview and was notified witihn a week after my phone interview but it would have involved a combination of background, behavioral and case questions done virtually with a hiring manager. During the phone screen, I was also surprised that the compensation package was not competitive for the role as no bonus would be offered and the 401K match was below average.
