I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CDW in Oct 2019
Interview
First two interviews went well, very positive reviews. Technical interview was not technical at all. First thing that come out from his mouth that all my certifications means nothing since there is no experience or knowledge. I have a professional level certification some were few hours long such as AWS security special. Secondly how do you say that to a person you never met and only have a less a minute to talk to? Next question what you favorite development language, my response had you read my resume or you saw 6 AWS certifications that got you envy and the rest was ignored. I am system engineer with over 25 years of experience, last 5 in AWS and Azure environment. Where in my resume had I claimed that I am developer? I know PowerShell and some basics of Python to create simple Lambda scripts that is all I know. The third question was even more hilarious "what the largest environment you had migrated" in terms of what accounts? budget? number of instances? Again had you read my resume? can you questions can be less generic. In any case in my 25 years working in IT I never felt this humiliated, upset and angry at the same time. And believe me I worked with very difficult customers and had some challenging interviews. Very disappointing, I really was looking forward to this opportunity.

Question 1
Technical interview was a joke, and person who did it got very personal firs time in 25 years I had a "pleasure" to experience this kind of behavior. I did not expected this unprofessional behavior from employee of such large company. This review does not reflect on all CDW, I have known some people at CDW and I have nothing but good things to say about them and CDW.
