I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CSC in Dec 2009
Interview
My interview was very impromptu and thus unlike the typical CSC interview. I was over in the office visiting a friend for lunch. We were interrupted by one of her superiors and I was given the opportunity to introduce myself and make small talk. I casually mentioned being out of school and looking for a job back in the defense industry. After lunch he came back and asked if I would be able to come in for an interview. I said "yes, when?" and he said "how about right now? come on let's go" So after a brief panic attack, i followed him into a room where i met with him and his deputy and had a brief interview that lasted about 15 minutes. Most of the interview was spent learning about their division, the position, and the customer and what would be needed of me. The rest of it was me answering questions about my past experience in the defense world. No salary was discussed at the time, because honestly i was unprepared as hell. About 2 weeks later i received a letter offer and a start kit which included a prescription for a drug test. Upon starting it is required of every new employee to meet with our VP. Overall the experience was very pleasant and not too stressful.
