I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CSG (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2016
Interview
Applied online. Was contacted by HR a few days later and had a 30 min phone conversation regarding my current work and experience. Four days later I was scheduled to speak for 30 min on the phone with a Software Architect on the team. This segment was purely technical about mostly OOP concepts specifically using C# and some database stuff. He had some pretty advanced questions regarding design patterns. I actually thought I did not so well on this and was surprised to be selected to move on to a 2.5 hour interview. The interview was done using Skype since I was out of town (I interviewed for the Chicago location). The format was five 30 minute segments each with different people. I was caught off guard because I was preparing for a technical test-type interview similar to the phone screen but overall the interview seemed very informal and conversational. They didn't as much seemed to care about what I know but seemed more interested in previous projects I have done and what work methodology I was exposed to (i.e. Agile etc). The interview was somewhat repetitive but very easy and relaxed. Everyone was very friendly except last person I talked to who seemed rather confrontational somewhat condescending - it was just one of those things where we started off wrong and I never properly recovered. I figured this may have messed me up and I was actually not given an offer in the end. The whole process was OK and I am fine for not being selected, the actual reason why I am ultimately inclined to review the process negatively is the utter lack of communication after the interview. I only learned of my rejection after I decided to follow up with HR after 3 weeks of complete silence. I don't think its cool not to follow up at all after going so far through the process.
