Applied through CSG career website. Got the call from recruiter for screening after 4 days. We talked about my experience and background which was aligning well with the job description. The recruiter mentioned that I have less than 3 years of experience, but she will still forward my application to the hiring manager. Got a call from the recruiter the next day stating "the hiring manager" liked my application, and they would like to schedule an interview. It was a panel interview taken by a software architect and the hiring manager. The interview went well, and it was a mix of technical and behavioral based questions. The hiring manager mentioned that I will not have to wait to hear back from them and they liked my experience and background. We even discussed how I fit in nicely with the team. I called the recruiter after 2 days only to find out that the feedback was all good, but they did not like the fact that my experience was less than 3 years. If this was a concern, I would have liked them to reject my application upfront.
