I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Caesars Entertainment (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2015
Interview
I applied for the position and I didn't hear anything for a good three weeks. They contacted me via email to let me know I had been selected for a panel interview. They only give you one date and time, there is no negotiation about when you can interview since it is with a large group. The panel/group interview was with about 15-20 people, after they asked us questions, the interviewers left the room to discuss and they came back to tell you if you were moving to the next round. If you made it (which everyone in my group did) you got a one on one interview right after the panel interview. It was probably a two hour process. I then didn't hear anything for at least a week or so but was then contacted for a second interview. The second interview was with 2 other people in the HR department (not the hiring supervisor). After that interview I never heard anything from Horseshoe. I thought at first they were just taking forever to contact me since the whole process had been very slow but they never even contacted me to let me know I had not been selected for the position. I thought that was extremely rude considering I took PTO from my current job to come and meet with them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the panel/group interview there were only three questions:
If you could choose one word to describe yourself what would it be? The word had to start with the first letter of your first name.
If you could be any animal what would you be? Then, act it out.
The last part was not really a question but you had to perform any "talent" you wanted. Most people sang, some told jokes and others danced.
They don't care what you do or how you answer the questions they are just looking for people who aren't afraid to make a fool of themselves and someone who isn't afraid to have a little fun. I'm a fairly shy person and the interview really brought me out of my shell. I honestly didn't feel the panel interview where we sang and made animal noises was really necessary for a professional position though. I could see that type of interview for front of house workers who are always around customers but for people who work behind a desk all day, it was really a waste of my time.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Caesars Entertainment (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2022
Interview
I was contacted by a LinkedIn contact for an informal conversation about a position that was open, and it seemed like a good fit. I was set up with a follow up with the hiring manager after I applied, and I was told they were trying to hire quickly, and they'd be reaching out soon. It has been over a month and I still haven't received any form of follow up, good, bad or otherwise. The position is still posted, and has been for several months.
