      Positive experience

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Canon U.S.A. (Melville, NY) in Feb 2015

      Interview

Met with recruiters on campus. They critiqued my resume on the spot and even though I wasn't expecting to hear back, I received an email from one of the recruiters asking for me to come in for an interview the following week. I interviewed at their offices in Melville, NY and received a tour of the building, following with the interview. I interviewed with the manager of the department I would potentially be interning at. The interview was mostly behavioral, and I was asked to speak a lot on the experiences I had listed on my resume.

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Canon U.S.A. in May 2011

      Interview

I was contacted by a phone call, to set up a phone interview for the next day. I then re-sent my updated resume, and I was contacted again to set up a in person interview instead of the phone interview. When preparing I looked up everything I could about them. I picked out things about the company that related to myself, which made the interview process easier for me. Advice, they are looking for enthusiastic people that have an internship experience already. My prior internship didn't relate to this one, they were more interested in my first job I had. Make sure to not sell yourself short on your resume. People in the office were really nice. The HR person was extremely nice, and tried to sell the position. The manager was more stiff, but nice as well. Head manager was really stern at first, but after the "interview" seemed over we just sat and had a conversation. Really great people, and work culture was unbelievably remarkable.
