      I interviewed at Canonical

      Interview

Ridiculously long process over 2.5 months involving a written interview, psychometric testing and 4 different interviews. Received automated rejection email with no feedback afterwards. Pretty unprofessional. Had heard about this process before but proceeded anyway, I recommend to avoid at all costs.

      Interview

I had a face-to-face interview and then i was given a test - to come up with an IA solution for an open source app store. Then i was invited in again to present my solution and answer to a number of Sherlock Holmes inspired questions, like "what if more than one apps had the same name?". Anyway, overall it was a disappointing experience for anumber of reasons, one of them being the fact that they never got back to me with their decision.

      Interview

After several rounds of interviews, all conducted remotely, I had the opportunity to engage with the closest collaborators and stakeholders of the future team. The interview process was quite extensive, involving multiple layers of assessment and discussion.

      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Canonical (London, England) in Apr 2022

      Interview

It was the longest process I’ve ever experienced. An essay with a lot of questions is given, then a psycho-analysis test, then it was 3 interviews with different people from the company. After that, a talk with HR and then I was given 2 projects to do. Then 3 more interviews, on research, talking to hiring manager and then presenting the two projects. That whole process took 5 months, then I didn’t hear from them for a month. And then I was offered a job. Then working 5 working days (on the day I was suppose to start) they rescinded my offer with a non personal email and with no explanation. Basically I would advise you to do the interview and see what happens but don’t rely on it. Keep looking for jobs (also, they seem to be a bit all over the place and not organised or much empathy).
