      Sales Operations Analyst Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Canonical (Dublin, Dublin) in Dec 2022

      Interview

After submitting my CV and cover letter I was asked to complete a written interview. It took quite a significant amount of time to complete. The next step was basic IQ test. It took about an hour. After these steps, I received feedback that I'll be a great fit for the role. I thought "Great, It looks like I'm doing well". Then a day later I got a follow-up email that stated that the company "will not progress your application further for this particular role". Overall, not worth the hassle, the interview process takes too much time - not worth the effort.

      Interview

So the other day I learned that to become an ESA astronaut, you must go through a 6-stage recruitment process. To work at Canonical, you must go through 7 stages. No offense meant, but it means that people currently working at Canonical are probably not the best in their field. Top notch talent get recruited by other companies before they go through the whole process.
