Interview
They first asked me to give a written interview. The written interview had about 20 questions that asked for detailed answers. They required me to upload a PDF with these answers. The PDF i uploaded went upwards of 1500+ words and took 5 hours of time to write. The questions were not relevant to job and asked about my grades in school and "how my friends would describe me". Then they asked me to give a technical exam on a 3rd party website. This test was pretty simple and consisted of a few MCQs and a coding question. Took about 30 minutes to do Then they asked me to take an aptitude test on Thomas International. This test took about 45 minutes. After all of this, they emailed me saying that i am put on hold since they had applicants that better suited their requirements. If so, why did you put me through all of this in the first place!! Also, i found out that these 3 rounds arent even a part of the real interview. These are just preliminary rounds that took about 2 weeks. Getting hired at Canonical must take like 2 months if i go by this Don't recommend anyone to make Canonical their first preference if you are actively looking for a job. It is a time drain and your effort is better spent elsewhere

The recruitment process is excessively long and completely lacks human contact. Moving through numerous anonymous stages without a proper interview makes it impossible to evaluate the opportunity effectively. The company needs to introduce real interaction much earlier in their hiring pipeline.

Written interview including high school performance. After that, I took an online assessment (coding) and a personality test. The recruiter sent me an email about arranging the first person-to-person interview. But after an hour, I received a rejection email.
