Recruiter reached out for an initial screening. After taking time out of my busy day to prepare and participate in this initial interview, I never heard from the recruiter again, even after following up. It is extremely rude and unprofessional of an organization to waste applicants' time by ghosting them, even if it's "only" a phone screening, and I will call out this behavior no matter how much it has been normalized by rampant poor hiring practices today. It "only" takes 90 seconds to send a courtesy reply email that you were not selected to advance. I recommend Capri Holdings reevaluate their hiring practices to be more respectful of the applicants who show interest in their company.
