      Average interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Car Keys Express (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Several phone interviews and emails with recruiter. things seemed to be progressing and then nothing. No call back, unanswered emails etc. Would not work there now if asked based on this.

      Operations Manager Interview

      Oct 13, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Louisville, KY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Car Keys Express (Louisville, KY)

      Interview

The beginning of the interview process was optimal. I was contacted promptly following the submission of my resume to the company website and an interview was set up with the talent acquisition team 2 days later. Everything was great as the interview went well and I was informed that it would be up to a week following that I would hear back on whether the business team would move me forward for an additional interview. This is where the process took a turn. Quite frankly due to my resume and transferable skills with working in management and my last position being a Regional Director I was confident that I could perform at an exceptional level in the Operations Manager position and even discussed that during my first interview. I did not hear back for a month and a half in which I received the standard automated response of other candidates more closely aligned to the position were chosen to move forward in the process. The upsetting portion is not being passed for the job, it was the fact that it took a month and a half to receive any communication. Quite frankly (as I have plenty of experience in working with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition in a managerial capacity) I can't imagine that would be considered anything less than unacceptable. I would think a conversation would need to be held on how there is either a process breakdown or personnel breakdown on the length of time between a very suitable candidate being informed of a business decision to move forward with other candidates. It reflects very poorly on the company and I hope this message is taken into consideration when working with future candidates for open positions.

      Question 1

How would I handle conflict resolution and a need for coaching with team members that are not performing at an optimal level.
