I interviewed at Carbon Black (New York, NY)

      Interview

Phone Interview -> In-Person Interview -> Offer. Great process of interviewing with multiple people with different levels of seniority in Sales. Gave a good picture of what it's like to work at Carbon Black and what the SDR role entails.

there is multiple phone screens - the first being with some one on the internal recruiting team - if that goes well you will have a 30 minute phone screen with an SDR manager. If they decide to bring you onsite - you meet with 3-4 people for 30 minutes each

      SDR Interview

      Mar 23, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Carbon Black

      Interview

Initial response was fast with a good first phone call and second phone call. The in person interview was a disaster and extremely unorganized. They did not follow who was going to be interviewing and the order. In addition in the middle of the third interview the person left for an "emergency" meeting. They then cancelled the final two interviews I had for the day even though one of them was with HR and not sales and therefore was not part of the "emergency" meeting. They cancelled the final two after having traveled four hours to get there. Was very unprofessional and showed a startup who can't get there act together. A few days later I was told I was not going to be offered the job because I did not have any internships during the school year. They don't take in to account the ranking of your school, your work load or your extra curricular activities. It is seemingly a waste to apply if you go to a top 50 school because you won't have the time to have as many internships.
